Q: How do I properly use my new edger to edge a planting bed?
A: I LOVE this edger. Once you have your bedline defined (with a garden hose, landscaping paint, etc) take your edger and drive it straight into the ground with your foot. Then pull the handle back towards yourself and push out the debris away from you. The result should be a crisp, sharp bedline and the debris can be added to your bed for more organic matter or removed from the site. Hope that helps.
